  • ​Most companies charge $300 per cleaning, but you can get started for just $1. You'll then be placed on our calendar.
  • Within 5 days of paying $1, we'll be onsite to clean your panels for the first time. You'll be notified one day prior by the service member assigned to your cleaning.
  • ​When we're finished, we'll text you Before & After photos. And you don't even have to be home - we're like a gardening service or a pool guy.
  • After your 1st cleaning, you will be charge $19 every month as part of our convenient payment plan ($29/MO for 2-story homes).

SolarScrub is the name of a service provided by Discount Patio Covers.
Hi there! My name is Isaac and I'm the Founder of SolarScrub. In addition to cleaning solar panels, I'm a licensed contractor in the state of California and I've been building patio covers for nearly 7 years.

In fact, I've built nearly 1,000 patio covers which means I've been on nearly as many roofs and have seen 100's upon 100's of dirty solar panels. After consistently seeing dirty solar panels, I had the idea for SolarScrub.

At SolarScrub, we understand the importance of protecting your investment and maximizing the efficiency of your solar panels. I’ve seen firsthand how much dirt, dust, and debris can accumulate on solar panels. What is SolarScrub?
SolarScrub is a specialized cleaning service created to keep your solar panels operating at peak efficiency.

Instead of a one-time cleaning, we offer homeowners two hassle-free payment plans and we clean your solar panels twice a year.

Regular maintenance protects your investment and helps maximize your solar energy
production while extending the life of your panels, all without the worry of scheduling an appointment.
Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
Yes. We are a licensed contractor in the state of California. We also carry a sizable General Liability insurance policy and meet the bonding requirements for the state of California. When we arrive to do the work, your home is protected under our policy.
Do I have to be home or is this like a gardening service or a pool guy?
Yes, it is. Just as a gardener or a pool guy simply shows up to do their work, we do the same. But with SolarScrub, and since services aren't required every month, you receive notification of the day we plan to arrive, plus Before & After photos showing that the work has been completed.
What is included in my SolarScrub membership?
When you become a member, SolarScrub will automatically clean your panels twice a year. Think of our services as being similar to that of a gardener or a pool guy - we just show up.

 
We use a safe and effective cleaning process to ensure your solar panels are running at their best. Our trained technicians use specialized, eco-friendly equipment to gently remove dirt, dust, bird droppings, and other debris that can block sunlight. We avoid using harsh chemicals and abrasive materials to protect your panels from damage.

Once cleaned, we check to ensure there’s no residue left, allowing your panels to capture as much sunlight as possible, boosting your system’s efficiency.

Our entire process is efficient and designed to prolong the life and performance of your solar panels.
Can I cancel at anytime?
Yes, our Payment Plans can be cancelled at anytime.

 
HOWEVER, when you select a payment plan, you are committed to two (2) cleanings over a twelve (12) month period.

If you cancel, you will be charged $228 minus any payments you've made under your selected Payment Plan and no additional services will be performed, assuming we have cleaned your panels at least once.

If you cancel service prior to your first cleaning, all funds will be refunded.
How will I know you cleaned my solar panels?
First and foremost, as a licensed contractor in the State of California, we operate our business with integrity, and your trust and satisfaction is our greatest priority. 

So to ensure accountability, we take Before & After photos for every cleaning.
